Ann Bennett

Ann Bennett received her Botanical Art and Illustration Certificate from The Morton Arboretum. She was an Instructor at the Arboretum for several years. Ann was past President and an active member of the Nature Artist Guild of The Morton Arboretum. Ann was a contributor of Seeding the Snow ; The Midwest Woman's Journal of Art and Writing. After moving to the East Coast , she taught Botanical Watercolor at The Maine College of Art in Continuing Studies in Portland, Maine where her botanical art was the cover of their catalog - summer 2003. Ann also taught Botanical Watercolor at The University of Southern Maine in their Continuing Studies program. She left teaching, for a time, to further explore the idea of pushing her botanicals into a more contemporary light.

"Since moving to Cape Elizabeth my botanicals have broadened to encompass my wonderfully diverse environment ; costal salt marshes , vernal pools , the ocean , the New England woods all very close by , opening newly creative possibilities. Teeming with life."

Her work is found in private homes as Mural Art and in private collections.
