Born and raised in south central Michigan, Vicky trained as a medical illustrator in Toronto, Ontario and has worked professionally in this field for 19 years. After receiving her degree, she moved to the west coast of Canada, and now calls Vancouver, British Columbia home.

Vicky pursues her passion for tropical rainforests by painting dynamic botanical watercolors. She has been involved in many group and solo exhibits in Vancouver and has contributed to or been comissioned for artwork by organizations such as Friends of Calakmul, Yucatan; Inti Wara Yassi, Bolivia; Burns Bog, The Crystal Garden Conservation Centre, and The UBC Botanical Garden and Research Centre, Canada. Many of her paintings have been reproduced as cards and Limited Edition Gicleé prints.
