Jean Emmons has a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts, 1977. Though she initially trained as an abstract painter, an interest in plants and private study with Kevin Nicolay has led to botanical illustration. Jean has worked for book and magazine publishers including Macmillan, Penguin, Sasquatch, Horticulture, Herb Companion, and Country Journal. She is a member of the ASBA and her work is included in the collection of the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation.
