Brigitte has always been drawn to the poetry in nature and wishes to convey that through her work. She received a BFA in Printmaking/painting at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. Then, trying to leave art behind, she pursued and received a Master of Arts in History at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, South Hamilton, MA. But, art pursued her and won. Now she combines her love of plants, trees, nature, gardening and old architecture with art.
She is a plant conservation volunteer with the New England Wildflower Society, a member of the New England Society of Botanical Artists (NESBA) and the New England chapter of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators (GNSI). Her most recent exhibit was with GNSI in Portland, ME.
Brigitte lives in Massachusetts with her husband, two children and two cats.
