Catherine M. Watters was born in Paris, where her love of art and flowers began. Her illustrations appear in 5 books, three in the U.S. and two in France. She exhibits her work in several international shows each year, most recently at the NY Horticultural Society, the Flinn Gallery in Greenwich CT, Filoli Estates in Woodside CA, and in a one-woman show at Prints, Etc. gallery in San Francisco.

Catherine teaches classes in the San Francisco Bay Area and at Filoli Estates where she is an artist for the Filoli Florilegium. She serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Botanical Artists. She also leads garden tours in the Normandy region of France in the summer and lectures regularly on French gardens and Botanical Art.
