Individual August 6 - August 9 Field Sketching and Nature Journaling The South Shore Art Center, Cohasset, MA Instructor: Gretchen Halpert Fee: $345M $370NM Observing subjects in their natural environment offers greater understanding of nature and its creatures. Drawing them increases observation and illustration skills and allows time to connect with nature, relax, and enjoy the outdoors. It is also a way of collecting information to take back to the studio for more "finished" drawings. We will spend time by the ocean and in woodland habitats, learning various methods for capturing nature. Pencil, ink, watercolor, colored pencil and mixed media techniques will be taught, as well as composition and non-threatening writing exercises.
