Issued to commemorate the opening of the Strandell Collection of Linnaeana at the Institute, this book includes a biography of Linnaeus and an account of Swedish Linnaean collections by Birger Strandell, and an English translation of Linnaeus' anonymous Orbis eruditi judicium de Caroli Linnaei M.D. scriptis [1741] with a facsimile of the Orbis eruditi in an endpaper pocket.
